SportsEngine Registration: South Indy Youth Hockey

Adult Learn to Skate / Play

Adult Learn to Skate / Play

The SIYHA Adult Learn to Skate / Play program is designed for the beginning skater who wants to not only learn to skate, but also learn some of the fundamental concepts of hockey.

The class will meet each Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 pm, beginning January 11th, and will last for six weeks through February 15th.

Cost is $75 for the eight week session and must be paid in full either online or via cash prior to the start of the first class.

A helmet, gloves, and skates are required.  SIYHA can provide some equipment, depending on what you need.  However, we do advise purchasing skates and wearing full equipment.

And finally, program goals are as follows:

  • Help participants become proficient in skating
  • Teach "buzz words" and terminology so you'll be able to discuss practices, drills, and games with your player
  • Build your confidence so you can actively take a role in reinforcing skating and hockey concepts at home or away from practice

The following registration will require you to input a school and a grade.  You can just enter whatever you like in these sections, since this is obviously not appropriate information for this group.

Additionally, you will be asked to enter parent/guardian information as well.  You can just put your own information back into these sections.
